Sage Olive Rosé

So incredibly disappointed, don't read if not watched (if you don't care, welcome), there are spoilers! FIRST OFF, WHO DECIDED TO HAVE HALF THE TEAM DIE (4 if I remember correctly) AND HAVE THINGS GO BACK IN TIME??? I know that I am not the targeted age group for this film but if I had kids and saw them watching this, I'd be pissed. As a writer, this plot had a great beginning, it was truly great and I actually liked it a lot. The dialogue is mediocre at best, but I can let that slide. However, when people started dying and there was more violence than there should be in a children's movie, I started questioning everything. What angered me most is the death scene of Toby, WHAT THE HECK WERE THESE PEOPLE THINKING, it was like, 1 and a half minutes long, and I, A GROWN HUMAN, shed a tear. It was so sentimental and it made me extremely uncomfortable, the animators focused on the LIFE EXITING THIS MAN'S BODY. It felt way too graphic and could make anyone attached to these characters queasy. This is only half of the problem because I was also angry about the hecking time jump. Staja had babies only for time to reset. This doesn't bother me as much because they will probably end up together again, but it just doesn't sit well with me. Big spoiler, Toby becomes the Troll Hunter, and that honestly ruined my night. (Nothing against him, but why?) I am watching 3Below to erase this monstrosity from my mind. The only thing I liked was Eli's glow up, cause wow. Hope this helps!
