No one does historical fiction as compellingly as Robert Harris. Beautifully researched, his stories (even the flawed ones) are always deeply engaging and his characters are never mere cut outs. Act Of Oblivion reads like the most satisfying of film scripts in its ability to transport the reader effortlessly and (I presume) accurately. A great story.
