If you’re a history fan do yourself a favour and stay away from this show. From costume design to set, from historical accuracy (and we’re not even talking historical factuality of the story, but more about the reflection of historical customs and context) to acting this show is just AWFUL. I thought I would sit through the whole of season I to make sure that I had a balanced opinion of it but I can only conclude that if you stick a bunch of Neighbours grade actors into a period drama you just end up with Neighbours...
