This was required reading for a leadership course when I was working on my degree. Was both captivating and tragic. Was very interesting to examine it from a leadership perspective, reviewing the decisions that were made. The commercialization and overcrowding of a place most people have no business attempting. Local sherpa guides that take the job because of the lack of economic opportunities risking their lives to take the biggest risks and the lionshare of work and responsibilities for wealthy foreigners who lack appropriate skill and experience.
