Let me start off, this instalment of Dragon age is very different from it's predecessors. That is not necessarily a bad thing. I've some of the things I've heard people saying , it's too mmo -ish, tooo big, story is shallow. All this issues arise on the way you immerse yourself. If you like RPG, the RPG elements are as strong as ever, the maps are huge and it rewards you for your exploration; not through only glorious battles but through items, scenary, events and codex's. I highly recommend reading the book "World of Thedas" along side your play through. This gives you so much insight the shallow story may not seem as shallow once you know the history and other details on Thedas. The maps are littered with beautiful details that gives you so much relevant details about Thedas itself. Read as many Codex entries you can, it'll leave you feel like this world is a living breathing world. Frostbite engine has done a wonderful job treating you to some of the series best visuals upto date. My playthrough was about 90 hours, the DLCs are worth it! Especially Trespasser; a grand finale to the instalment. The very few complains I have is, the combat is no longer strategically, it's simple , perhaps too simple. The game also has bugs, few at times game breaking. Beyond that this actually feels like EA gave the developers their time to brew up a token of love. You will feel and see that if you take your time to nice. From the visuals to the music to the game play to the very world they've built. Thank you Bioware for this. I love you! Excited for the Rise of the Dreadwolf. 9/10 HIGHLY RECOMEND.
