I don’t understand how this movie didn’t get better reviews!! This movie is absolutely incredible!! The actors-ALL OF THEM-were on point!! Literally EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! This is now one of my all time favorite movies!!

First I want to give a shout-out to one of the people that drank the stuff and then died…she started foaming at the mouth convulsing so the spit foam stuff went all over her face and she just took it like a damn champ!! She needs an award for that!! Secondly I thought this movie was actually pretty good!! I mean it’s gory or scary (well “Father” is pretty scary!!). It’s crazy that his little speech he’s making while they drink the “Kool Aid” is just what Jim Jones said-it’s not word for word, but he does say the same things. It’s so creepy and heartbreaking that this happened! Jonestown was just like this! I find it good to watch but also I find it hard to watch because he just convinced everyone to kill themselves!! Exactly how Jim Jones did and used the same method. If you haven’t seen it or heard it you can listen to the speech Jim Jones gave to everyone when they did this-knowing what happened makes the speech so eerie!! I have always enjoyed psychology and it’s interesting to see someone have this much hold on other!! It’s crazy that ALL of those people drank the concoction and majority of them didn’t even put up a fight!! They did as they were told and to me that’s the scariest part!! Someone having that much power and influence is way too scary!!

The movie is good but it’s too much for me!! I’ve been in abusive situations so this didn’t settle well for me. I don’t usually write reviews but I’m just HOPING someone sees this and it saves them from watching it!! If you’ve been sexually abused or assaulted this is NOT something you’ll want to watch!!
