The writing style is silly. Dumb even. I can’t believe how many good reviews I’ve seen for this book. Every page leaves me throwing up my hands in frustration and re-reading trying to understand what the hell I just read. I’ve made it to 100 pages and I don’t think I can take it anymore. It’s just good enough to keep me interested, but blurry on the details the whole way through. No character development, and every character is the same as far as I can tell. If I learn McCarthys language maybe I’ll return to it one day.
