Arguably the worst of all Batman movies. No attempt to engage the viewer. No real plot. No humour. No light - two and a half hour film and every scene bar one is in the dark or the rain or both. The film did not make the most of its best characters -the Riddler and Penguin - not nearly enough of them on screen. Instead we had Pattinson’s Batman who is the sulkiest, surliest most miserable Batman I’ve ever seen. Even his alter-ego Bruce Wayne was exactly the same. It was dull - two avid Batman geeks I know have both confessed to falling asleep in it.
