I usually do not post reviews but I am compelled to do so here. The premise of the movie is good actually but the problem lies with the issue that there is no necessity to demean Brahmin practices and sensibilities to write a story and on the other hand show that Muslims can inspire (Character Frahaan giving wisdom to Annapoorani and she also doing Namaz before making Briyani!). What is the purpose and motive of including a Muslim family in this movie? I don't oppose showing them in good light, absolutely fine but why should you show Annapoorani's father in poor light, who is a Brahmin? You could have just made a film about a girl becoming a top chef without all these character angles of a Brahmin background. At least you would have left them alone, but NO you had to show that to follow your dreams you should come out of the Brahmin mindset and practices. I mean what have they done to you? I am just thoroughly unhappy about another Brahmin bashing. This movie could have been about woman empowerment, following your dreams and making it big by overcoming adversities. But this is totally wasted and an opportunity missed.
