Backman is one of the greatest writers of our generation. He has a way of making you fall in love with characters you have every reason to dislike (on the surface).
He grips each and every emotion; you laugh as you ache for the human condition. Anxious people is hilarious and heartbreaking. Best read of 2020 by far.
