Another awful version of what was a classic game ten years ago. No real improvements made in the last 5 years and gameplay seems to somehow get worse. The algorithms underlying the computer gameplay are shocking and somehow I can play on world class and win everything 8-0 then step up one difficulty level and lose everything no matter what you do, with the computer generating the stupidest gameplay I’ve ever seen. I have to be honest, more fool me for giving them another chance each update. After last year I really didn’t think they could make a worse game and didn’t think there was any joy left in it, then I played fifa 23 and somehow EA have managed to suck that remaining sliver of joy from the game too. Shameful corporate greed is the only way to describe this franchise and football fans deserve better, sadly no other viable option exists of playing the sport we love with our favourite teams and players. Do better!
