After 350 pages of developing about 8-10 characters, the reader is absolutely inundated with the introduction of approximately 50 characters over the next 40 pages, laborious reading. Not my usual experience with this author. Might seem immaterial, but I also find it quite odd, that virtually every character is described as beautiful. Seems silly to me. I do not hold this work as one of her better books.
