I liked the parents turning into monsters and the palace staff having to deal with it. Would have been a really cool D&D sort of flick. Aaaand then they added waywayWAY too much singing, and made the whole thing a symbol of divorce AND made the parents out to be the monsters for *gasp* getting a divorce. Well, it happens. Doesn't make anyone monsters. There is zero explanation as to why the general, who supposedly knew nothing at all (??) about the whole thing for an ENTIRE YEAR, was INSTANTLY willing to toss the monsters aside. Says a lot for loyalty. I didn't mind the oracles being same-sex living together, but I DID mind that they were utterly useless, foolish, ridiculous and silly. They could have been really cool, like oracles are supposed to be, and instead of ridiculous, used riddles. But no. And while the Princess claims she was all these wonderful things, throwing an outright tantrum because her parents thought about themselves, well, wasn't she doing the exact same thing? Will not watch again and my granddaughter fell asleep during it, so it wasn't a win for either of us.
