Exaggerated reviews, innocent ratings and unnecessary hype!! Red, Blue and Royal Blue is a fictional story around characters with real life names and that is most disappointing....🏳️‍🌈 Story of Prince Henry of Wales, British Royal and Alexander Claremont Diaz, First son of US....who met, fell in love, exchanged mails and those got leaked before elections...the easy acceptance of families and support from people around who voted for Alex's mom for second tenure as President. What a predictable tale!! Every book leaves you with a few lines that have deeper meaning and applies to life in general....don't expect that from this one!!

we all make mistakes and we all pay price for them...we evolve with experiences and speak through silences sometimes...Vivian Morris takes us back to her life and lets us see through her soul!! The book has all kinds of characters which makes it versatile. A young Viv goes to her aunt Peg's theatre company- Lily and takes the charge of on stage costumes. During her stay in New York, she befriends Celia Ray, a showgirl and they rock the city's nights being messed adults with boose and mates while still held the image of sweet girlie in the daylight around Lily until one day they land in a problem. The journey from that to the old age taught viv a hell lot about herself, family, friends, inhibitions and the society which we all need to read at least once!!

there are many important issues the author tried to cover from natural progress of college life, college politics, reservation, north east discrimination to adding romance, friendships and family elements...and finally the sexual assault, death and the outrage of crowd united for justice all over the country....these are all subjects holding depth and definitely need to be talked about but to put them all in a single book and make a love story out of it seems too forced and then unfortunately, there is not enough of anything...the writing is too bland and most importantly, I could not find any trigger warning!! to keep something which can invoke a sea of emotions in an individual as a suspense for the last few chapters of book without a warning on the first few pages in bold letters is completely unethical. giving a star keeping in mind the efforts it takes to write a book otherwise it is far less than that for me.
