I keep seeing bad reviews but I really enjoyed it, sure some things were played up for entertainment but truthfully what movie that’s based on a real story isn’t? The point was why she did the things she did and how did they made her feel vs how did she want to feel, how the world viewed her and how she viewed herself. I appreciate how the movie separates Norma Jean from Marilyn bc she was more than just Marilyn Monroe, Norma Jean was her soul, Marilyn was a performance. If you wanna watch the movie and just wanna see the lush life of Marilyn this isn’t for you. This is about Norma Jean and her life behind being Marilyn and what pushed her to be her.
