I almost don't know what to say about this film but I will have a go. Most of what I have read in other reviews (both good and bad) is true. Timothy Spall is amazing. The film is complex and confusing in places. But I liked the slow pace and the atmosphere. It is intriguing, enigmatic, and actually insightful and beautiful. My only criticism is that there are too many themes - you could make 3 separate films from the ideas. But I liked the ideas, and I'm very glad I watched it.
