I just finished listening to this audiobook and it is fantastic. I love how Brian Raftery interwove the politics and popular culture into the narrative. The title might make you want to argue but Raftery does not talk down to you like to some fanboy. What he is able to do is tell stories about the unique films that year. The making of, the behind the scenes. Great-Great stuff and now I am going to see what else Raftery has to offer. I hardly ever write reviews but listening to this great book forced me to share!
