Hazel

There is little meaningful description, and the book lacks atmosphere. The author makes a key point about her characters, and then simply repeats it several times. The story hinges on an accident, which should have been traumatic, but was stated so matter of factly, the guy could have been doing his shopping. How does this author get away with it?
