Dead Leaves

The first 2 seasons are fantastic. Each character feels like a unique person so the character interactions are never dull, each episode is so rich in content that some even feel like mini movies. The show even takes a few smart conceptual liberties in story telling that deepen the impact of several key moments. On top of everything it manages to be genuinely hilarious at times, with many strong comedic moments. Episodes begin one way, and land in a new set of circumstances you would never predict. (amazing!) I began the show expecting an Okay "teen drama", what I got was a truly quality drama about interesting people. Then seasons 3,4,5,6,7 happened.The character blueprint for the first 2 seasons can be summed up in one phrase "Anti-Architype" but The rest of the show is bombarded with predictable archetypes. Even 2 characters from the first season who used to be unique, unpredictable and clever; were watered down and made dull, typical and uninteresting. Because of this... most of the show is mindless, predictable teen drama garbage...'What the Effy am I watching!?'
