I'm absolutely flummoxed by the poor reviews for this film. I have it ranked 29 on my all time horror movie list of over 150 films. This is as good a portrait of dissociative/psychotic mental illness as you'll ever see executed. I have a feeling that the reviewers are trying to take it neat, like the whiskey... even at the end of the film. The horror is not that her husband and his cousin kidnapped her, it's that her paranoid delusions and hallucinations convince not only her, but us, that she is in danger. SHE is the danger, at this point.
