They/Them'--(They 'Slash' Them)--starring Kevin Bacon. You either hated this film or you didn't! However...this was a very interesting film to me--nevertheless! This 'horrific film' stayed with me and remained on my mind--long after it was over! 'They/Them' is about a group of 'LGBTQ+ Teens being sent to a conversion camp--secluded in a wooded area--where they are terrorized and stalked by a masked killer! The 'slasher' film is being streamed on 'Peacock'. Personally, I'm not too much of a big fan of horror films...but, this was an exception to the rule. I know there were mixed reviews in regards to this 'cleverly named' film--'They/Them'...But--I have to say--I thoroughly enjoyed viewing this film! There was a message here underneath the 'slashing and the killing' that proved to be the 'real horror' in this underrated film...and that's--LGBTQ+' Conversion Therapy--and the detrimental effects it can cause to both the conversion counselors and most importantly--the patients! The fact--' They/Them'--focused its attention on the horrors of conversion therapy...highlights the film's plot very brilliantly! This suspenseful-horrific thriller is what every bible-thumping homophobe and anti-LGBTQ+ bigot needs to see before casting judgment or sending an 'LGBTQ+' teen to conversion therapy! It was very thought-provoking--to say the least!!!
