Pretty terrible. The first two weren’t anything to write home about. This was just unnecessarily.

The reviews for this movie are wild. Between hype and disappointment from said hype. This movie falls under the umbrella of post horror. Like anything with the tag post in it there’s always going to be a mixed bag. Is there a certain amount of pretentiousness to this movie? Not at all. The fans who put up glowing reviews and wax on oh so poetic about the subtle nature of manipulation and trauma. That’s the pretentious aspect of it. The fans. Now with all of that out of the way let’s get into it. The movie is pretty solid. I’ve seen some say it’s not traditional horror because of the lack of gore and blah blah blah. This movie has plenty of gore. It’s just not the buckets of blood. Is it scary? Depends on what scares you. If losing all control of everything you love and hold dear by an external force well beyond general understanding freaks you out. Yes this movie is absolutely terrifying. The acting is out of this world. Big part and small part alike. Is it hard to follow? At times yes. But like previously stated it should be. This deals with something other worldly. It should be abstract. It should be down right wild at times. You’re just as lost and freaked out like the characters. So why the 3 stars? Idk it just didn’t do it for me. Not a bad movie at all. Great acting. Great visuals. Maybe it has something to do with being an atheist? Maybe it has something to do with not giving a shit about other people’s trauma dumping. But we can all agree someone’s head being sawed off with a clay cutter is bonkers.

This is far from a bad movie. It’s not ground breaking. It’s slow. Tackles topics of grief and adolescence. What does it does well. It just won’t make it into a top 10 or 100 list anytime soon.

You can just watch one of the insidious movies instead. Blatant ripoff.

Just watch Bram Stoker's Dracula. This movie is a complete waste of time. Boring, bloated and pretentious.

The acting is top notch. The soundtrack is amazing. The cinematography is amazing. The killers motivates are vague but it works well. My issues are the pacing is silly. It's really all over the place. I think the movie wants you to think Tarantino when watching it.

It's not terrible. Shelly is the worst part of the movie. The story is pretty middle of the road. There's some really good action moments and seeing Eric figure out his new abilities was a nice touch.

This movie is not 28 Days Later. This movie is bleak from beginning to end. 28 Days ends with a hopeful note. This movie ends with despair and a question of what's going to happen next. On a petty side note these are not zombies. They're the worst part of humanity come to life. It runs, bites, beats and spews blood on you. Not a great time. This movie perfectly displays that. Don't watch this movie to see the " good guys" win. They don't. Don't watch this movie to see humanity succeed and continue. It doesn't.

This game gets a lot of hate for some reason. I agree the dodge and block mechanics are a little weird at first. But they really feel natural in the grand scheme of things. It's natural to move to the side to avoid being hit. The game looks great. The story is perfectly fine. The atmosphere is top notch. All of this being said if you go into the game hoping it's the unmade Dead Space you've been waiting for, you're hopes are going to be squashed pretty quickly.
