I have been playing this game long enough (since fifa 10) to really know the mistakes that they have been repeating. Every new FIFA trailer wants to show off a new skill or a new rule that they have added to the game that excites people into buying it but then you see them repeat the same mistakes. Take online seasons for instance, Players have found a way to forfeit games in a way that their opponents wouldn’t the victory. Like, you could score 5 goals, they could forfeit and the match would not be counted and you don’t get the win and to make things worse, the player that forfeited the game could get matched to you immediately and you can win again and they can forfeit again without you getting the victory. I mean, this game has a lot of commentary glitches and gameplay bugs but what’s the point in keeping a competitive mode when there’s no FairPlay? I play division 1 and I had to win 5 games to win division title in a situation where I only had to win one more game, that’s the number of times players forfeited without me getting the win and the game takes my money and just watches it while it happens. This is something that every competitive game takes seriously(even free games). And the worst part is the updates that each of the newer FIFA games have are literally the changes you could make with a new patch. Instead, they release a new game and make us pay more and more money. I have seen free games make better changes and did better in terms of fixing bugs with just new patches than FIFA did with newer games that cost 60-90 dollars every year. As someone who’s been playing this game for many years and have a lot of great memories playing with friends and cousins, I am sad to see EA doing this to the franchise. Hope they do something better with it and at this point, I don’t even mind some other company taking over if it means better gameplay, better updates and most importantly, better FairPlay.
