I’ve played about every single mainstream Pokémon game to date, including Scarlet and Violet. And with about 5 hours in both versions, I can confidently say that this has been the most disappointing launch to date. I adored Legends Arceus and had honestly hoped that GameFreak, Nintendo, the Pokémon Company etc had begun to take steps forward in advancing Pokémon games. Instead, they gave us low frame rates, game breaking bugs, and just a feeling of cheapness when it comes to Scarlet and Violet. It feels like with every new Pokémon game (except a few), these multimillion dollar companies are giving their consumers the bare minimum. It’s disappointing to see a beloved franchise like this fall further and further into the depths of mediocrity. Spend your money on something else, not this.
