I agree 100% with all of the reviews - EXCEPT - is everyone "afraid" to mention that there are positive, casual, normal, very real statements about God's hand in our lives. Maybe people are afraid to say that, because they would think "oh, it is a religious show"; or "that would be cheesy". Nothing could be further from the truth. The writers exhibit a rare gift, that they were able to show that a person of faith can laugh, tease, be courageous, struggle - and all of that "normal" stuff.

Look, everything people say about this series is true. It is what they do NOT say, that I object to. I am not a "prude". I simply don't like all this cross-dressing and gay is okay stuff. Is that all the Brits can come up with ? Every show I try, things start out straight, then more and more and more immorality is added - not the "boring stuff" (hot, heterosexual sex). Oh no. You go for the LMNOP stuff. So predictable. Here is a great quote that sums up my feelings on this: "Satan's strategy is simple: make sin look normal, and make righteousness look weird."

Why is no one stating the obvious? With the help of GREAT mystery writing, this show is pushing the gay agenda with "straight" relationships in the minority here. "let's get them hooked in the first several episode, and then gradually have every man, woman and child go "gaga" over someone sharing the same genitalia. This is the type of show that would have been banned 40 years ago in USA.....seems to be a topic that is so mainstream in UK that they will call me the biggest prude on the planet. Doesn't anyone know the disease and suicide rate for people who live a disordered (not the way God intended) sex life?

The whole series was very well done, as far as a who-done-it goes. All the flashbacks were both uniquely intriguing and clarifying. Moreover, I didn't mind the dance intro, actually. What I DID mind was all the F- words and ridiculous sex/adultery - accepted by virtually everyone. Doesn't anyone in the world strive for virtue and decency? Could you not depict one or two characters who would not stoop so low? What vocabulary monotony; and how very open people are about sin these days.
