This is a sci-fi dream. Great sets, VFX, acting, sound, and an appropriate dose of humor. And that it touches on various ethical, technological, and transhumanist themes was what drew me in, personally. I get that not everyone is into that, and for them there is a sprinkling of eye candy to be enjoyed too. I REALLY enjoyed this movie, but am now also really dumbfounded by the negative critics reviews on it. I suppose the "professional" critics are living in a totally different world than the rest of us, perhaps due to having consumed countless more movies and rating things in a different context based on prior experience. But that's why I take critics reviews with a grain of salt, and watch the movie first to make up my own mind on it before I let anyone's opinions affect my enjoyment of it.
