An incredible, quirky, refreshing, and poignant show from the creators of the Good Place and a lot of the same actors, who all did phenomenal jobs. This show beautifully explores aging and loss, managing to be both poignant but still uplifting and hopeful. I absolutely loved it.

I think a lot of the other reviews are pretty harsh. Don’t go in expecting a super high quality thriller, but it was still a good watch. The acting was decent, especially with the main actress since she had to show a lot with just her expressions. Also, though it had some mild gore, it wasn’t overly disturbing. The plot was a little predictable and unbelievable, but I’m okay holding my disbelief for a movie. Sure, it’s more realistic the girl would just get kidnapped and tortured, but I don’t want to watch that. And, *minor spoiler ahead*, it’s more realistic that a cop would know how to protect himself, but that would have made the movie shorter and less exciting 🤷‍♀️ So yeah, it’s unrealistic but that makes for a better movie imo. Though the idea was a fresh one (her being paralyzed through most of the movie), the movie does follow a familiar formula. But I still found it gripping and entertaining, with a satisfying ending.

I loved this show. The story was original and thought provoking, the humor was fresh and relatable. The cast did a superb job, and the main actors had such great chemistry. I loved that the characters were actually not very toxic and had the intention of growth in a healthy manner. I really enjoyed it. The only thing is that I think it could have ended in one more episode. I don’t really think it needs another season. I don’t want them to ruin a good thing and make the relationship more complicated or have more issues. I want them to have a nice happy ending.

A good adaptation of the book series. Stayed pretty accurate to the books, just moving some things around and minor changes. Actors did good portrayals of the book characters. The scenery was beautiful and atmospheric. The sound track was fantastic. I hope they’ll make the other two books into seasons 🤞 but I like that they closed it up well enough that it’s okay if they don’t. However my only complaint is that the entire cast are actors that weigh barely 100 lbs. it’s 2024, can we get some body type representation please? Other than just incredibly thin and/or fit? Some of the other reviews don’t understand that adaptations are ADAPTATIONS. they are not books come to life. Some things work for books and not so well for shows and you just have to accept that. My main complaint with a change they made was (MINOR SPOILER) having victor be suspicious. There was no point to that and I liked that the family dynamic was so positive in the books (and thankfully it was still mostly positive in the show).

This was SUCH a fun movie! It is meant to be totally over the top and cheesy, like a ridiculous spy thriller should be. It had tons of twists and turns, most of which I totally didn’t expect at all. You have to suspend your disbelief for much of the movie, but just lean into it and enjoy the ride. The actors did an awesome job, and Alfie the cat was *chefs kiss* 👌

Really enjoyed this movie. Of course it’s hard to go wrong with this casting - Ryan Gosling is so lovable in this role. I also like Emily Blunt’s ambitious character that very well takes care of herself (not the damsel in distress!). Other side characters were likable as well. It started off a little slow but it picked up about 30 mins in and was a hell of a ride! So much fun, crazy action intermixed with other scenes to cut the tension. I’m not a big action movie person but I’d watch this again and again (okay maybe a little but for Ryan Gosling but not completely ok).

Such a sweet and interesting show. I enjoyed this when I didn’t want to think too hard but still feel interested. The end was unexpectedly sad but closed it up, until the last like 2 minutes, which sucks because it was cancelled. But I’d still really recommend this lovely show that deals with some very serious things in a healthy way.

As a fan of the original series, and a hater of the live action movie, I really enjoyed this adaptation. It follows the original pretty closely, and the characters felt right to me. I love the consistent ethnicities of each of the kingdoms and that it wasn’t white washed. The graphics were really good, especially as the show went on. I thought even the young actors like Aang did a good job. The fight sequences were also good as well. Appa and Momo were adorable. It’s grittier than the original but it’s still very tame. I hope they make the rest of the seasons.

I definitely didn’t predict who the main villain was. I was engaged through the whole show but one thing that kept bothering me was what do these people do for a living lol? They have money but are never seen working, though allude to a “job”. Also I really didn’t like the Barbie and Ken storyline, I felt it added nothing to the show except higher stakes I guess. I still enjoyed all the twists and turns of the show, I always enjoy watching Harlen Coben shows.
