Was in the mood to watch a bit of feel good fluff. But this film was just fluff. The surprise good fortunes to offset the bad turns kept getting more and more ridiculous. Not to mention the sheer amount of bad turn/good fortune plot devices. I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if it ended with 'and then she woke up' because it was like a daydream gone rogue. It was only saved by the many good actors. I can't imagine how unwatchable it would have been without them.
