Pascal Vaudry – Google

Good movie, but it really should have been called 'Sean Connery and the Last Crusade' and the poster sport the tagline ' featuring good-guy-going-through-the-motions-Harrison-Ford as his sidekick Indiana Jones in the greatest comedy of our time'... To me, Ford was in this one pretty much the same he was in Return of the Jedi, kinda done with it and just waiting for something new and more interesting to come along next. I don't like the fact the hero was used mostly as comic-relief. Especially in that god awful and completely useless 'No tickets' scene. Tank scene was great, though. Felt like Raiders all of a sudden. I know the thumbs down is too harsh, for it is my least favorite of the 4 by a long shot, but I still saw it thousands of time (saw it 18 times at the theatre during its original run alone, so...) and appreciate alot of things in it.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Liked it alot, but can't blame those who don't. My only complaints are the fridge scene, the whole look of the movie which is completely wrong and too modern-looking (just compare the use of the light to that of the first 3) and (and I don't know how come people don't talk about that much but,) what's with that anachronistic technology throughout? Digital clocks in the 1950s? Really? Spy bugs the size of a walnut? The first 2 were very meticulous in their recreation of the period and atmosphere, this time it's as though no one bothered. I had been wanting another jungle adventure and the use of south american cultures and mysteries for ever. I was served. Didn't mind the flying saucers and inter dimensional beings at all. Find that much more plausible than a box filled with the wrath of god or some priest who can snatch someone's heart out and play with it while the victim remains alive... Ford was great in it and closer in character to the protrayal he did in the first 2 films. Although he smooths out when he - SPOILERS KINDOF- discovers he has a son and transform into good old good-guy-Harrison-Ford for a moment. I was a fraid we'd get back to the return of the jedi- The last crusade acts, but no he snapped out of that quickly enough. Just a shame the producers had that great franchise with so many potential stories and adventures and only managed 4 films in short of 30 years... And now that Harrison is pushing 80 they wanna make more. Go figure.

Got to say it's great so far (episode 4) but I'm afraid they might paint themselves into a corner if the show becomes all about baby yoda. This creature has such a slow and long lifespan (remember it's fifty years old at this point and acts like a 1 year old human so at this rate it won't talk before he reaches 200 and won't be able to do anything valid before 400! That means the mandalorian might spend the next 20 seasons of this show wiping diapers...)
