Nicci French duo has lost their way with this rambling and pointless tale - not up to their usual standards. I did not connect with any of the characters especially our "heroine" Jude who made all the wrong choices and decisions, yet kept going back for more... Unrealistic plotting and certainly not suspenseful- I struggled to finish the book and wish I hadn't bothered. Sorry, Nicci and Sean, I usually love and devour your books.
