Having read the hype about the film I decided to read the book. It started off well, but I’m now 85% through the book and despite the wonderful narrative about the islands birds, seas and land the story has disappeared. It’s very very descriptive and I expect the film will enhance this but it feel the power of addiction is lost at sea.

Wow, just wow. It’s a totally realistic portrayal of what happened on the front lines. The government and society should be as appalled at their actions, as they were as the post office enquiry drama.
