I really like Ryan Gosling but couldn't make it through this movie. The dialog in the film didn't feel natural. It felt like watching clips of dialog pieced together which made the conversations in the film feel awkward. The plot was kind of dumb and maybe could have been a little more interesting if the writing was better and they had some build up to the story in the beginning of the film. I saw a lot of people commend the action scene in the film but for me I really hated the action scenes (which is all this movie is). The actions scenes are just constant camera cuts from movement to movement. I understand the idea behind this is to make the scenes feel like they are faster but when I watch action movies I like to actually see some form of the fights not just a shot of someone throwing a punch to a camera change to another shot of someone getting hit. I like to watch more than 2 seconds of tied together choreography at a time. Whether or not you like the movie will probably depend on what your mentality is when watching it. If you are looking for a really well written movie I wouldn't say this is it, but if you are just looking for something to pass the time while being distracted on your phone this one will get the job done.

Played through to Chaos 20 and the game fell flat for me. The table top aspect of the game is cool and interesting but the actual gameplay was a disappointment. Everything about the game except the tabletop feature is uninteresting. The story and characters lacked humor, save for Will Arnett being Will Arnett but even he was pretty bland in this. Level design felt really underwhelming and the legendary guns are pretty lame. There is a good bit of build diversity but nothing feels super exciting about the game. The story could have been really funny and ridiculous but the jokes and voice acting fell flat and just didn't hit. It's like they tried to hard to not offend anyone. Personally when I play a borderlands game I do it for the humor, then I continue playing for the endgame. I didn't find either enjoyable in this one. Granted the game probably was designed for a teenager who spends a lot of time on twitter so I might not be their target demographic but for anyone who is a fan of the older borderlands style of game/humor I wouldn't recommend this one.
