Name : LEO (2023)
The movie tells the story of a bold and wreckless Kingpin named Leo, who strives to lead a different life to protect his family from harm, going to great lengths to transform himself into that person. (Quite similar like the movie: Nobody)
Positive: Vijay's outstanding performance in the movie is truly the highlight. His acting prowess shines, and his on-screen chemistry with Trisha adds to the film's charm. And Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Sarja in a negative role, is as menacing and imposing as they both look stylish on the screen. They both succesfully command the screen with their presence, making them formidable adversaries for Leo. The violence and gore did add the 'Bloody Sweet' taste in the movie.
Negative: The second half's content and screenplay, particularly the much-anticipated backstory of the kingpin, could have been more thorough and justified, like before Lokesh managed to pull in Vikram. It is claimed that Leo is part of LCU, but the connection felt like Lokesh added it due to the immense pressure that he had from the demand of the audience.
Despite its flaws, Vijay's performance remains the highlight of Lokesh's directorial work. Leo is undeniably a film worth watching.
