Expected much more. Didn’t feel any pride whatsoever by how they represented my ancestors. They made Mayans look like the bad guys even after they took the Princess to their world. Namoro even said “you’re the first surface person down here” and that was not acknowledged. Producers even had Princess use the bracelet that was cherished by the Mayans to defeat them. SMH. Wakanda people are also shown as weak because they made it so that they needed Machines to attempt to defeat the Mayans. They showed that they couldn’t do it on their own, they needed to create things to attack and have a chance. The way this movie made Browns go against each other blows my mind (subliminal message). This was about betrayal, vengeance and humiliation. Did not like it.

The story was soooo good at the beginning then STANK in the last 3 episodes. They made everyone who turned their backs on her like they were cruel people, even her parents. Come on, be REAL. The fact that those people who turned their backs were real, makes you realize that Netflix failed to shed light on those who were truly fu*!#% by her. Mentally and emotionally. It just seems like Netflix told a story where they wanted the message to cover up someone’s narcissistic persona and say that hustle wins over character. What kind of message is that!? That’s not constructive to Society and I’m not for it. If you want to make it at the top, do it like several TRUE self-made hard working people. Emphasis on “Hard working” not “Hustlers”.
