I was disappointed with this movie for a couple of reasons.
First, I understand excluding the actor who played the father from the movie considering the actor’s disgrace. And his passing was an understandable catalyst to reunite the family but it the father should have only been referenced and not seen as a claymation.
Secondly, I was extremely disappointed with the extremely poor character progression of Delia and Lydia Deets. Because there was not any change or growth in these two women, they are very two dimensional and boring! So, the writer expects the audience to believe that these two once dynamic women did absolutely nothing different for the past 30 years?
I don’t understand how or why script writers aren’t putting an emphasis on creating a meaningful story anymore. Having great actors and graphics are important but without a great storyline, the film becomes simply an expensive and forgettable waste.
