THE ASH LAD IN THE FALL OF THE MOUNTAIN. This movie is simplistically amusing, a wondrous kids tail in movie form. It had that old world charm where witches are wise, imps are bad and tolls rule the night. It's charm lays in its simplicity, where the story never allowed you to think it just did the thinking for you. Sometimes one has to allow a story to just be told and allow us to meet it's expectation that for it to meet ours. It seemed to stay true to old tails where an elder would tell story while sitting around a fire. I love this movie. I could not stop watching it wondering what was going to happen next to Espen and his brothers. It is my first movie review as I had to do it as the movie is totally worth it.From start to finish he is not know for doing or completing his chores, in this simple telling of an enchanting fairytale with good scenic surrounding this loveable story flows with ease. For the princess his simpleness is his charm, but he needs to fight for her to the end!
