Too much of the $160+ mil price tag spent on CGI, and not enough on writing and character development. Sensory overload cartoony battle sceens. All the actors have acted well on other projects, but come off as B movie actors in this. The movie "jumped the shark" with the bongo-playing octopus. Perhaps the director should stick to directing horror films.
