Everyone seems to compare the Vietnam protesters with the Hamas and Israeli groups. Why? I marched with thousands from Cambridge to Boston Common. Half (if not more) were protesting the draft for they were were probability going to their deaths if picked by people who were not going. Also the war was being run by incompetents. Hamas and Israel cannot compare with the Vietnam protesters and the very reason they marched, had sit-ins, had debates. We were trying to stay alive. In the end I joined the Air Force. Served in Guam and SAC Headquarters in Omaha with a top secret clearance and I wouldn't change a thing.
