It's incredible to me that EA keeps making this game worse. Every year the quality decreases and it becomes less fun. This used to be THE GAME for me and my friends, we'd play it every night 2v2, online, whatever it was. I've played thousands of hours of chel and I've got to say I think I'm finally done. Skating feels like crap, constantly feel like I'm gliding through molasses, there's so much visual information going on that it feels like an arcade game, and then there's the hitting. I love checking and this year and last year they have effectively killed any sense of real contact between players. Super satisfying to go throw your arms up in front of you and just have some kind of collision where one of you bounces off in a random direction. Where are the physics? Where's the weight of anything here? Freaking call of duty has different trigger pull weights based off what gun your using but I can't even get a little rumble when I hit a guy? Come on. This is possibly the worst iteration of this game since the half game that was NHL 15. I just don't understand how you keep making a game worse. At this point even though people complain about how sports games are just re-skins of the previous season i would vastly prefer a simple re-skin of nhl 23 with those physics and it would at least feel fast paced and fun. Maybe this is just an old man yells at cloud post but it just sucks when your favorite things get ruined, and this is definitely that for me. Do better EA, and do better community that just keeps slopping up the crap they continue to serve us.
