This is a well written book which kept me focused until the very last page. The life she led being part of the station's daily work team and her help to the Aboriginal community was very exciting. Her marriage to Ralph and the upbringing of their children was a great adventure and her descriptions of the kids antics kept me laughing for hours. A good read.

This book by Bruce Kirkby "Blue Sky Kingdom " took me back to my travels in the Himalayas where i visited Buddist monastries and met Tibetan people, old and young, descedants of Tibetans who had fled their home country in a time of turmoil. Very descriptive accounts of the land terrain and the grandeur of the mountains and the stillness, quietness and peacefulness of the surroundings brought back memories to me of this wonderful place on earth which should never be spoiled by so called modern progress. Bruce's book was written in a way to transport the reader into life of these amazing people of Zanskar with sincerity and gentleness. Thoroughly enjoyable reading.
