In hindsight, ZDT was really well done. I recently (10/19) listened to The Oath podcast w Chuck Rosenberg interviewing MSNBC nat’l security analyst Jeremy Bash, who was in CIA leadership amidst the Bin Laden manhunt. As he recounted its history, time and again I was impressed by Bigelow’s narrative in ZDT. Whether the CIA Maya character played by Jessica Chastain existed is maybe an open question but she was an effective vehicle for stringing together the narrative.
