Played on PS4. Hugely disappointed. I enjoyed the first game despite some clunky mechanics so was really looking forward to this but it feels so rushed and broken. The charming cell shaded graphics are gone, replaced with something that looks ps3 era at best. Almost all of the original Aragami's movements such as shadow leaping have been removed, replaced with the ability to warp to only very close ledges, and the screen is now cluttered with HUD elements which makes it feel very much like a cheap arcade game. The cut scenes are awfully acted and the story is dull and uninspired. The enemies are still identikit and their movements and AI are rudimentary to the point of boring. The game is also full of bugs so you're constantly having the atmosphere ruined by hilarious glitches such as Aragami suddenly no-clip floating upwards with arms outstretched like Christ The Redeemer, or an enemy teleporting along in the background like his ping was too high. With how great the first game was I'm genuinely baffled as to how 1- this game removed so many great gameplay elements from the first, and 2- how it got released in such a buggy and franky graphically ugly state. Buyer beware.
