I feel suffocated and restless after watching this movie. I felt empathetic towards all the women out there. I did not have to think much or go to a remote underdeveloped or conventional place, all I had to do was look around, in my own house, where I could see the inequality, the discrimination that women have to face. The plight of women is deplorable. This movie is an eye-opener to our male dominated society. Why do women have to do all the household chores, would the sky fall on earth if men helped in cleaning or cooking? If that's too much to ask, atleast why can't they take care of their own things. Why can't they wash their filthy clothes? Why can't they wash their dishes? Why can't they make their own tea? Why can't they get their own glass of water instead of interrupting the women while eating? All these questions are haunting me. Suraj remarrying without even realising his mistake after everything reflects our social reality, wherein men still do not realise the sufferings of women even after they are exposed to it. And it is also an indicative that this inequality conditioned by our society cannot be removed easily. But I still hope that this movie was able to enlighten a few souls who were questioning why women were rebelling.
