It was too predictable for me and too well knitted which made me lose interest.
I felt it lacked focus but was immensely loaded with details to get you distracted from that- some details not needed but I guess Shafak was trying to keep us grounded with the traditions.
Details of Zelihas pregnancy could have been treated with more seriousness. Much more seriousness as it touches a very sensitive ground that shouldn't be overlooked as such - that disappointed me most.
