I've just finished the aforementioned treatise. Since I am born in 1965 I didn't have much knowledge of the events post independence till the calling off of the emergency. Books like Freedom at Midnight, India wins Freedom were available to throw enough light on Pre-Independence era. However I didn't find any reliable material covering the times you did in this book.
You have given your best in writing the said book and you certainly deserve kudos for the same.
I wasn't that surprised to note the omission of the Nagarwala scandal and Nanavati case in this book but the Scam in the share market involving Harshad Mehta could have been alluded.
The most disappointing omission however was Kandahar Hijack case of December 1999. What made such a disastrous event that shook the entire country
escape your attention I would be very grateful to know.

He's my favourite novelist and I have read his many books more than once. Having said that I can't believe such things do happen in a civilized nation like the USA. I fail to understand how can a government be bent on killing an innocent youngman on presentation of dubious evidence.
When Roberta dresses up Donte for the funeral, Mr Grisham is very brutal.
I read those pages with watery eyes.

It's a must watch movie. It's like watching a live telecast of the happenings over there. All the actors have performed so well, the locations are so real that you stay glued to your seat. The movie sticks to its subject n doesn't deviate from its course.

An awesome film. The performance of Maxim Munzuk and Yuri Solomin is not something you call Acting, it's beyond that. After all it's an Akira Kurosawa film. I don't have enough words to praise it.

Though we may have seen lots of movies of this genre the acting in this film is at its best that makes the movie worth watching. Kevin Becon n the little girl Ella Impressed me a lot. Some scenes performed by the Baba and Ella are very cute n touching. The direction is of high standard and some scenes are capable of giving you the hair-raising experience. I really wonder what makes the writer or the director to call the father 'Baba' because this word is used for father in India and particularly in Maharashtra. As my son calls me Baba I was rather moved by it.
Yes it's a good movie to watch
