Highly underrated movie. I’ve seen some reviews say that they couldn’t understand the plot nor what the owls were speaking about but it went just fine for my son and I. Neither one of us had read the books beforehand. We just listened to what the owls said, and listened to the names of each owl and then remembered which owl was which. Not as complicated to do as many insist it is. Anyway, my son was about 4 or 5 when we first watched it and it was one of his favorites for years. But now, as a teen, it holds sentimental value as it reminds us of a time when we kept that movie in our weekly rotation for ‘movie night’. We always hoped for a sequel.
