Not a faithful adaptation. Annabeth was a favorite character of mine and I grew up picturing her in my head. I feel like they spit in my face. I can't help but to think of Annabeth actress as Thalia. (I always thought Thalia was black when I read the books but apparently she's not) either way over half of heroes of Olympus main characters are people of color. 4 of 7 in fact. In the original series they rep Hispanics with the Diangelos, and asian people with Ethan Nakamura and im sure other races as well. There are people of all sorts of races in the original series as well as all the spin offs. Representation was not an issue. The author sold out on what might be the only chance to get the series right. Very disappointed. On that note as well they swapped percy and lukes hair color and made chiron black too for no reason. He's supposed to be greek. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
