Eephus profiles the big heart, camaraderie and stubbornness of American community baseball players - their determination to finish their last game before the field becomes a school. They play despite obstacles of weariness, the impossibility of playing long after itโs dark and the lack of enough baseballs. They play despite pain and lack of family support because their leader insists they finish and they just do it. Thatโs a beautiful moral. Itโs one reason America is great and why American men are tough. I liked it.
