The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

LOTR fans seem to primarily be upset that this series doesn’t follow any canon. Informed LOTR fans would be informed that NEITHER did the original trilogy or the Hobbit films. My expectations were very low coming into this as I only heard bad things. I have been surprised. Maybe 5 stars is too strong to give this early, but I am thoroughly engaged and excited to see how this story and world unfolds. This cast, directing, plot, music etc are leagues beyond recent Star Wars makes in doing justice to an iconic series. I say give credit where it’s due. Hopefully the rest meet expectation!
