I carried this with me on a solo backpack trip in the Uinta mountains of Utah. Jan loaned it to me, a few years before breast cancer took her. I have my own copy now, a way of keeping the mountains and a friend with me. Oliver's poems love me in ways that I can't explain, but I can at least tell when I first met her works. She has enriched my life.
